A California container thermoformer has a new, private equity owner and an amended name.

Salt Creek Capital II LLC in September announced it had acquired Endural LLC, now Endural Operating LLC, of Costa Mesa, Calif. Endural vacuum forms high density polyethylene materials-handling containers and cases for transporting automotive transmissions and engines. Endural also manufactures HDPE modular tote boxes, trays for small parts and food-service containers.

Endural owner Jim Burra retired recently after more than 30 years with the company and its predecessor, W.D. Adam Co. Inc. Jeff Pyle is the incoming CEO. Sue Williams, vice president of sales, remains with the company. Williams said in a news release the acquisition will help Endural "accelerate our expansion into new markets and geographies."

Salt Creek, based in Woodside, Calif., specializes in small and midsize U.S. companies in a variety of industries.

In August, Spell Capital Mezzanine issued a brief news release announcing a subordinated debt and equity co-investment to support the acquisition of Endural. Spell Capital was not mentioned in the Salt Creek announcement.
